AAAASF Certification
The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities is a not-for-profit organization that awards accreditation to outpatient facilities that meet strict criteria to promote patient safety. Parkins Plastic Surgery maintains AAAASF certification for the Lake Country facility’s in-office surgical center, serving Madison, Milwaukee, and beyond. That means patients can have their procedures done at Parkins Plastic Surgery with full confidence that they are enjoying care at the same level—or better—as they would receive at a hospital.
AAAASF certification is voluntary. To receive accreditation, facilities must meet or exceed hospital standards of safety and other factors, be home to board-certified and board-eligible surgeons who have hospital privileges for all procedures they perform, use anesthesia professionals in certain circumstances, maintain a safe and clean surgical environment, and more. Parkins Plastic Surgery not only satisfies all of these stringent requirements, but does so routinely, since there are reports to file every three months and inspections every three years in order to ensure compliance.
