Sciton Halo™

Introduction

Improve Texture, Tone, and More at the Milwaukee and Madison Area’s Parkins Plastic Surgery

Healthy skin makes a world of difference. Your best features shine their brightest when your skin glows. Though a flawless at-home skincare regimen goes a long way toward maintaining youthful skin, topical creams can only penetrate the first few layers of skin. To address skin concerns caused by deeper damage like UV exposure, chronic acne, collagen loss, and other conditions, you’ll need a bit of help. That’s where Dr. Maida Parkins and our team come in.

If you’re hoping to reduce the visible signs of aging, improve overall skin tone and tightness, and address wrinkles and fine lines, a medical-grade skincare procedure could be the answer. At our clinic in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Dr. Maida Parkins and our experienced team provide several different options for achieving a radiant, youthful glow. One of our most popular and powerful options for comprehensive skin rejuvenation is the Sciton laser. Capable of addressing several concerns, this groundbreaking technology enables us to offer patients the acclaimed Halo™ and BBL™ treatments in the Madison and Milwaukee areas.

What is the Halo™ Laser?

The world’s first and only hybrid fractional laser, Halo™, works by delivering both nonablative and ablative wavelengths to a single treatment zone. With an incredible degree of customization and precision, Halo‘s™ exceptional results have become a favorite of men and women around the globe.

By combining wavelengths, our team can provide patients with a synergy of ablative results and the downtime of a non-ablative procedure. Halo is a truly rejuvenating treatment that improves skin texture and tone, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and addresses hyperpigmentation and pore size.

Minimal downtime is a significant benefit of this groundbreaking treatment. After just five to seven days, your skin will return to normal, radiating the signature Halo glow.

Halo™ is so precise that our team can customize your recovery time to fit any scheduling or availability restrictions. You can choose between several minimal treatments spaced out over time or a more intensive treatment that achieves maximum results in a single visit.

Results are long-lasting, generally for at least two years. If you’re seeking a nonsurgical way to gently and quickly achieve the same results as a much more aggressive procedure, Halo™ could be right for you.

What Are the Benefits of Sciton Halo™?

Sciton Halo™ offers a powerful combination of ablative and non-ablative wavelengths in a single treatment, making it one of the most advanced and customizable skin rejuvenation options available. By targeting both the surface and deeper layers of the skin, Halo™ effectively improves tone, texture, discoloration, fine lines, and enlarged pores with minimal downtime compared to traditional resurfacing lasers. Patients often experience a noticeable “Halo glow” within days, followed by continued improvements as collagen production increases over time. The treatment is fully customizable to your skin’s needs and can be adjusted for more gentle or more aggressive results, depending on your goals.

The Ideal Halo™ Laser Candidate

If you’re hoping to improve your skin’s appearance, decrease the size of pores, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin texture, and treat uneven skin tone, the Halo™ Laser can help you achieve excellent results.

The best way to determine if you qualify for a Halo laser treatment is to schedule an in-person consultation with our Parkins Plastic Surgery team. We will review your medical history and consider your aesthetic goals to determine whether the Halo laser is the best choice for your skin rejuvenation needs.

step

What’s the First Step?

Since the Halo™ Laser is highly customizable to your specific needs, the first step for those around Madison and Milwaukee to receive treatment is to schedule a consultation. Dr. Parkins or one of our providers will evaluate your skin and concerns, such as sun damage, texture, discoloration, or early signs of aging. Your provider will determine whether Halo™ is the right option for your skin type and aesthetic goals and create a custom treatment plan tailored to your needs. You’ll also receive pre-treatment instructions, such as avoiding sun exposure and certain skincare products. Once you’re ready, your Halo™ session can typically be scheduled within a few days to weeks.

What to Expect on the Day of Sciton Halo™ Surgery

On the day of your Sciton Halo™ treatment just outside of Milwaukee, you’ll arrive with clean skin, free of makeup or lotions. A topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure to ensure your comfort throughout the session. Once the area is numb, your provider will use the Halo™ handpiece to precisely target the skin in a grid-like pattern, delivering a combination of deep and surface-level laser energy. Most treatments take about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. You may feel a warm, prickling sensation during the procedure, but it’s generally well tolerated. Afterward, your skin may appear red or feel sunburned, which is normal and expected.

recovery

Sciton Halo™ Recovery

Recovery after Sciton Halo™ is relatively quick and manageable. Most patients experience redness, warmth, and mild swelling for the first 24 to 48 hours, followed by a bronzed or sandpaper-like texture as the skin begins to heal. This is part of the natural exfoliation process and typically resolves within five to seven days. You’ll be advised to avoid sun exposure, wear broad-spectrum sunscreen, and follow a gentle skincare routine to support healing. While results can start appearing within the first week, improvements in tone, texture, and radiance continue to develop over the following weeks as collagen production increases. Many patients enjoy a noticeable, long-lasting glow with just one treatment, though multiple sessions may be recommended for deeper concerns.

How Much Does Sciton Halo™ Cost in the Milwaukee and Madison Area?

The cost of Sciton Halo in the Milwaukee and Madison area will vary depending on the treatment areas, but on average, patients can expect their treatment to run about $1,495 per treatment. Whether you’re a new patient or coming back for a touch-up, our team will ensure the best possible pricing in the area. When you come in for your consultation, your provider will examine the areas you’d like to treat and give you a better understanding of the number of sessions you will require to achieve your goals.

We do offer treatment packages to make your sessions more affordable and less stressful.
