Men’s Aesthetic Procedures

June is Men’s Health Month, and it may be a surprise to some that plastic surgery and other aesthetic procedures are very common among men. While it may seem taboo for men to get cosmetic procedures like the ones mentioned below, there’s no shame in it! Feeling confident in your skin is for everyone, not just women.

 Non-Surgical

Skin rejuvenation, lasers, CoolSculpting, neurotoxins, and filler are all non-surgical treatment options for men looking to make cosmetic changes/maintenance. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, over 265,000 men receive Botulinum Toxin Type A (Botox™/Dysport™), and over 118,000 men received filler in 2020. Depending on what you’re looking to have done, these treatments can be a good starting point if you’re not ready to go under the knife.

Surgical

Also in 2020, the most popular surgical procedures for men are Rhinoplasty (nose), Blepharoplasty (eyelid), Cheek Implant, Liposuction, and Otoplasty (ear). Abdominoplasties (tummy tucks) are also very common procedures for men. Gynecomastia surgery is the male version of a breast reduction and is a great option for many men who have excess breast tissue they want removed. Whatever aesthetic change you’re looking to make, Parkins Plastic Surgery offers a variety of procedures to help you feel the most confident.
